Hello friends.Nice to meet you again.I was wondering if the group trip is actually happening and if so how it is going. We will be making a look/see trip as soon as I recover from surgery. I'm very interested in any advise anyone can give me in order to make our trip easier. Also, I'd like to have coffee with any of ya'll already there if you'd like. I will be staying for a week this first trip and want to meet as many people as I can while there.Thank you. _____________________________ floating tanks dbol

Hello. We live in TX. As soon as we read micheal Pearl's article about Belize, we started praying. We have felt a very strong call to missions for several yrs now; specifically to a place in southern Mexico that would be too violent to live. We need a safe missions station. We also had read the Labri Fellowship book, by Francis Shaffeur, and have always felt wewould rather become religous refugees, if our rights became too threatened. We are thinking a lot about our children's/ grandchildren's religous freedoms. We would want to live up north, closer to Yucatan. But, wewant to live near minnonites for food supply. This is my question. We found 50 acres for sell in the Cayo district, a few miles from Spanish outlook. We could never farm/ use 50 acres. The land is very reasonable, and farm worthy. We would only want to buy about 15-25 acres. We want to have a home, missions station. We would train missionaries, and have a small orphanage if God so desired.( By small I think 10 children....) So, wewould farm, have chickens. The owner will not divide. We have 1 friend that will travel with my husband in June to see the land. my husband will also be visiting a missions training school in Orange Walk . The land is not guaranteed to stay, so we may go sooner. Would anyone, 1-2 families, be interested in buying 15-25 acres at $1,000 an acre? If there are other families seriously interested, we mayhold the land with a deposit, until we fly down. Anyone interested or want to chat, let me know. God bless...Rick and Rebekah Mata |

Dear Bryan and Cindy & all, ROW (Rivers of the World) does mission work in Belize. They have stuff going on in Orange Walk Town, in Billy White Village (near San Ignacio), and occasionally stuff in south -- to Crique Sarco. You can find what they have and are doing at www.row.org on the net, and then may wish to email or call someone. Your heart is in the right place. Blessings to you! Shannon |

Hello, My wife and I are new to the forum. We have actually never participated in a forum before, so bare with us. We think it is great that somebody thought of doing this. Back in January when we received the "No Greater Joy" calendar, when we looked through it, we saw the article on Belize. We read it and became very intrigued with the idea of possibly moving there. We thought this is great, they speak English, it is not too far away. We could do mission work. We could garden and live for less money. The list goes on and on. At the time we had no idea that anyone else was doing this as well. We actually wrote the "No Greater Joy" office and they told us that if we weren't doing missions now where we were that we should start here. I agree, but still I was drawn to Belize for some reason. We actually had a trip planned for the last week in January or first week in February. We were going to look at land. We found a piece of land that was on a creek, more like a river that flows into this real neat cave. I want to say that it is the Barton Creek area, if I remember right. There was a Mennonite community right next door. Well, needless to say, we didn't end up going. I backed out at the last minute. We have got online to look for different missions organizations down there too and have had very little luck with that approach. We are interested in moving down there and we are interested in doing missions work as well. I would be interested in going with the group in June. We are a family of (5) five. My childrens ages are 16, 14, and 12. I am an entreprenuer(been in business now for 2 years on my own) and I sell, engineer and design pipeline equipment. I know there is probably not much need for that down there. But I have AutoCAD and can do housing prints if need be. Just thought I would throw that in, in case, there are people looking at starting a community. It is good to know what trades you have among yourselves, so that you can barter and trade. Thanks for listening and allowing us the privilege of being involved. God Bless, Bryan & Cindy |
